Damn inverted question & exclamation marks

So, one of these things that you happen to find by pure chance...
The GF's switch to Linux over the weekend, brought up how to type some characters in Spanish that I haven't used (shame on me, actually...)

Ctrl + Shift + u (altogether) and then press:
00a1 to get ¡ Inverted exclamation mark

Ctrl + Shift + u (altogether) and then press:
00bf to get ¿ Inverted question mark

Utterly complex to say the least...
